At Astute Interiors we love to work with and showcase high quality, Australian designers and manufacturers featuring their products. Our new online shop is an extension of our interior design and decorating business. The aim is to display a small range of high quality products which can’t be found in your average retail store, but at a reasonable price. There’s no reason why you need to travel to the inner city boutique stores to get the designer look you’re after. Our products will be constantly changing so please check in regularly and watch this space...

Astute Interiors commenced as an interior design and decorating business in 2010. As we progressed we realised that there was a need for superior soft furnishings which were normally only available in the most elite home decorating stores or custom made. Our first products to be released are beautiful handmade cushions – made in Australia, feather filled and using Warwick Fabrics. The product range will expand quickly so keep your eye out for new releases.

Gavin Atkins and Warren Sonin formed their interior design business Designer Boys in 2003 after appearing on the national television series The Block. Since then they’ve had the opportunity to furnish and style more than 750 properties, including some of Australia’s most sought-after real estate. They have also conceptualised and designed interior makeovers for some of television’s top rating home and renovation shows.
The Designer Boys are lucky enough now to live on a small farm just outside Australia’s exquisite Byron Bay, surrounded by natural beauty every day. Living with nature, from the rainforest hills down to the clear waters of the bay, is a constant inspiration for both of them. “There’s no doubt this has a major impact on our work.”
Gavin and Warren are passionate about their new art collections. “Travelling to find rare, unique and handcrafted pieces has been an adventure. Every artwork is something we’d be proud to hang on our own walls. Every artwork celebrates the beauty that’s around us.” To see the Designer Boys Artwork click here.

Eastbourne Art had its beginnings in the family room with all the kids and the dog harmoniously enmeshed in a somewhat chaotic state. Known then as Eastbourne Barncraft the business was known for its aprons & t-towel range. It wasn’t long before everything moved it into a beautiful purpose built stone barn, out of the house and in the bottom of the garden north of Sydney.
Creatively the ideas come with searching for fabrics, the colour palette and new and existing items to create and make into a complimentary range. The furnishing fabrics are vibrant, and of excellent quality. The main range including aprons and ironing board covers is made of canvas/drill which is hard wearing and guaranteed to give the user years of wear. Recently, in order to achieve a contemporary look, Eastbourne Art have designed and had fabric hand printed by the metre as well as continuing to hand print the smaller designs on to the finished product items.
“Eastbourne Art is a collection inspired by our rural surroundings & family life. There has always been a skew towards garden & the outdoors, as it’s where you'll find us when we are not in the shed.” To see Eastbourne Art products click here.
